What I did on my Summer Vacation. Well, I guess it was more of a Stay-cation. Kept it close to home for the most part, a few trips to Joshua Tree, Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez.
I did some writing for a new magazine called Spark Plug Magazine, which covers music, art, and underground lifestyle in Southern California. Got to interview one of my early punk heroes, Alice Bag. She is an absolute doll and a punk rock style icon, to boot! I worked quite a bit; photo shoots, a lot of event decorating and some personal shopping. I did some testing with some wonderful photographers; Joe Atlas and Kelly Fajack. Just finished up a rather large job for Mattel. Can't wait to see the photos from that shoot. Tons of kids, lots of toys, 100 degree heat in the valley, but we got through it and produced some great work. All in all, it was a good time. Fall has some cool things in store and I am looking forward to a few new experiences and of course, more crazy adventures in photo styling. Stay tuned!
